A Musical Celebration of Lace
On 5th July 2025 we'll be collaborating with award-winning folk musicians Jackie Oates and John Spiers in 'Lace- a musical celebration'. This concert, 7pm at All Saints Church, will share the story of lace in Marlow through lace 'tells', spoken word and music. Join us to explore the less often told stories of the child lacemakers and learn how lacemaking influenced the history of Marlow. Tickets: £15 adults/£6 under 16s available from the museum or via TicketSource

Saturday 24 May - 2-4pm - Family Activities! - Inspired by the Exhibition, we'll be creating characters from Marlow's lacemaking past. You could take home your own model lacemaker or Sir William Borlase! At the Museum, £2/child, no booking required.

The Lace Exhibition is open!
Our recent exhibitions have featured: -
Participation in the Bucks Culture Weekend, with poetry readings outside the Museum.
The refurbishment of the Museum took place in the Spring and now shows a fresh face to all visitors,
On the 4th April, we launched our new exbibition, " Lace - From William Borlase to Pamela Nottingham" - Pamela was responsible for the surge in global interest for this craft. Be sure to see this exhibition!

Visit Midsomer Marlow
The Visit Buckinghamshire organisation have put together a 17 mile Visit Midsomer Marlow trail in and around Marlow, taking in a range of the picturesque settings used in the filming of the TV series Midsomer Murders.
